Mini-Projects

Students usually take on mini-projects in May of their first year in the CDT.

Students work on these projects in groups in collaboration with our partners. We invite our external partners to give a presentation to the students on the projects. Students then indicate their preferences for which project they would like to work on.

They spend two weeks working full time on the project in collaboration with the partner. At the end of the two weeks the groups give a presentation of their results to the partners, each other, and CDT directors. The partners and CDT directors then select the best project and award a prize.

Previously we have run mini-projects in collaboration with Fidelity, Data Sig and BBC News Labs.
